And if it looked like this outside I would have been in my bed watching T.V. Thank god I dont have to worry about that stuff. Great job and Props for doing it with that snow! Also we need vids..

KickerAudio21 Posted March 16, 2008 Author Report Posted March 16, 2008 So, in my last sytem i had my bxi1206d gain 2/3 up after sub was broken in. If i pushed it with a song like throw it up, i could start to smell the sub after about 30 seconds, and made adjustments accordingly. Now after about 5 hours of play, I have the gain at 1/2 on my 18" Q. It's already wayyyyyyy louder, and i just don't know how much break in time these subs need. Seems like at 1/2 gain it's moving like crazy, but then again i'm not used to 27mm xmax or w/e it is. I havn't smelt this sub yet, but I'm not familiar with it's limits like i was my L7. So do you guys think i shoudl turn it up a bit? or should i let it break in more?? i think it could take a bit more, and seems like the signal doesn't get too distorted untill you creep above 2/3 gain, which i wouln't do (i'd get more powerfull amp if i had to). I swear i'll get a vid sometime soon.
