Tweeter Placement

Recommended Posts

Figured it's about time I installed my stereo and was wondering on where y'all think would be a good place for the tweets.

Pictures aren't mine but off the same car. 6.5 goes in the doors in those vents and I'm going to bi-amp the crossover using head-unit power so no rear stage for now.

if you have time alignment try to get them the same distance as the 6.5 from your ear on the dash and aimed at you. so if the left door speaker is 28 inches from your left ear then the tweeter should be 28 inches from your left ear. they will be mechanically timed .... thats the easiest way to do things esp. if running passive

Just remembered I asked this question. been thinking about gettting the a-pillars modeled up and 3d printed, anybody gotta clue bout how much that'll cost. that or running them right in front of the grills for the 6.5's.

I would stick with the A-Pillar idea ...

No. Its 6.5s in the doors with 6x9s for the rear. I would put them up there put the way the dash is angled theyd point at the roof.
