Pauly1987 Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Question: 2 amps to one battery I have a kicker zx2500 and kicker zx650.4 Both grounded too the spare battery in the cab of the truck Also both positives come off battery in the cab to the amps positive! The battery is of course grounded to frame ( bolted) with zero gage and has 1 run of zero gage to the front battery positive 340amp singer alty big three done all 0 gage Is this set up ok??? Was thinking of throwing on another run of 0 gage (front to back) positive and grounding the zx650.4 in another location on the frame! Just to get some of the strain off the battery! Thoughts? Ps: 14.8v all day full tilt (get r done)!!!!!!
funky Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 I would do another run back I like to have more runs that current available. Right now you are below what you can produce. The pos and neg coming off same battery for both amps are fine. Learn to live life, not just be alive! Pauly1987 Posted February 7, 2014 Author Report Posted February 7, 2014 Another run it is then!!!! I was even thinking of adding a second run of 0 gage from alty to front battery!! (Big three) so two runs positive and two runs ground from alty to front battery! 4 runs total off alty to front battery then of course front battery too back two runs total 0 gage!! I better get too ordering some wire
bassman619 Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 I would just ground both amps to their own separate spots on the chassis..then maybe use two grounds on the rear battery.that way if you ever have problems with your amp its easier to figure out.(in my opinion) or if you want you can get 1 good ground and use a power distribution block as a ground distribution block... but really I dnt see you having any problems with around 3000w rms on a 340a alternator and two batteries. You need trunk space to get groceries and shit...bitches love groceries
bassman619 Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 But if youre dead set on throwin in more wire make sure to invest in ofc and stay away from the cca You need trunk space to get groceries and shit...bitches love groceries
