BrutalBasser Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Co I need four of these Polyester filtering caps but can't determine the values to find replacements. Help?
S15_Silvia Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 So they're totally blown? 2016 Subaru BRZ | Sony XAV-AX100 | Rockford Fosgate DSM 4080 & DSM 40ix | On 6/6/2012 at 6:32 PM, 'LZTYBRN' said: 3. Don't put speakers outside the car unless you are the ice cream man. My feedback thread
Lbox88 Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Nice, stole the pics from another thread here lol. UBL | Build Log
BrutalBasser Posted February 12, 2014 Author Report Posted February 12, 2014 Only one popped, but I need all four. Yes, I did take this picture from a post found for reference. I have the same exact capacitors though.
Lbox88 Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 If those popped their may be something else in the circuit that caused them to pop. Since it's just an AC output filter cap you could go a little smaller or larger and you shouldn't mess too much up. UBL | Build Log
S15_Silvia Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 You could try finding someone with a fancier DMM...they'll measure capacitance. 2016 Subaru BRZ | Sony XAV-AX100 | Rockford Fosgate DSM 4080 & DSM 40ix | On 6/6/2012 at 6:32 PM, 'LZTYBRN' said: 3. BrutalBasser Posted February 12, 2014 Author Report Posted February 12, 2014 Nothing appears damaged on the board but that one cap that popped off. But yes, that doesn't mean there isn't anything else in play here. I'm just hoping this is it.
Lbox88 Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Check the link in the other thread that goes to digikey, there's a 8uF and a 22uF. 8 will get you by long enough to know if something else is fucked up in the board. 22 is a hell of a jump up. UBL | Build Log
