Thanks man. I just temporarily painted the front cuz i was bored, I will bondo the screw holes, and smooth down a lil more, then finish painted the box. I spared no expense wireing these subs up, I used 220v 35amp Dryer power wire (basically 10/8 gauge) And used home 220/440v alum blocks for speaker wire distrubution, and 5/16" bolts to connect the blocks to the wire, ect. Pretty nice looking inside the box. cant wait for my second amp to get to me on tuesday, then I can do real testing

this will be tested useing LEAP/LMS software from my old job. RTA, peak spl ( LEAP mic) Impedance tests, ect ect

This tuesday night

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Yeah, plexi was getting a lil expensive, so I just went black and, well black. I do have a sealed panel for the front,  I will find out whats better on tuesday night.  But basically the plexi was ruled out for cost, and before I put on the top of the box, I stacked the subs, and looked how much room there was between cone/magnet, and it looked okay. I may still do another MDF ring to pull the front woofer out another 3/4" since there are 1.75- 2" between the cone/magnet just to be on the safe side. But also, these woofers only have about 2" xmax total, so should be safe

well, finally got my amp in, hooked it up, and it didnt fry.. lol That box gets loud as fawk. I know my rear view will break off soon, and I get some gorrila flex. And even with this amp, it is a one note wonder, just for the fact its isobaric loaded tline. at tunning it gets insane, and there is a hint of really low freqs, but I will find out later tonite, or thursday

Haha.... Like I said before, let me barrow a camera, and I will post a vid.

I did some RTA measurements at the shop today (TRUE RTA brand) And it looks like I peak at 41.5hz I couldnt actually meter spl, but I got to find out how my truck is loudest with all the settings, x overs, boost, Q. We constantly metered the RTA in the mid 120s, 127peak at 41.5hz, with gains all very low, and no pre amp or deck. Just the Computer, and microphone. I drove home with all the new setting and adjustments, and damn, its pretty painful to peak it out. Iam dreaming, but Iam hopeing for a 150 (dreaming) we'll see

Whats the rule on funneling out to a full size port? Do you make the final port larger? Or do you just try to gradually get to that area by the end of the line.  In that case, do you have to make it longer? haha sorry bout all the questions, im just curious.

A couple links to some box builds:

Tahoe Box 1, Tahoe Box 2, Nissan Titan, VW GTI,

Mini-Bump, Hummer H2, Ford F-150

My own car builds (current setup --- under construction):

Overall Thread, Kickpods, Dash, Back Doors

Subwoofer Wall

sweet box design, you will love it Meg

Sean, I dont think there is any real rule. Just like SD(cone area ) is used as a basic guidline not a dedicated rule. I had my chance at a couple horns so far, and what I have been doing is start off port area closest to the woofer at about 25-50% smaller than the woofers cone area, and end at either 100- 125% cone area- That little theory seems to work fine
