He didn't fuse the pos/neg for his volt meter, and was lucky enough to pull the wire in time but it could have caught his car on fire. And very recently there was a article on here of a gentlemen who's truck completely went up from the groun up. Everything gone, because he didn't fuse his wires. So as all would suggest here, use fueses, or run the risk of putting your car up in flames, and possibly you and anyone in your vehicle.
