A single sub in a large box will give you much better low end response than two in too small a box. The two will be louder at high frequencies but they will be eerily silent on the low notes.

ok thanks guys for the info im going to do 1 sub with a bigger box I checked the prefab I have and its 2.5 cubes after port.so I figure that ill build one that's between 4 and 4.5 cubes after the port and sub displacement.how low should I tune it im thinking in the low 30s.

I like to tune to 32 Hz : I feel like it gives me everything (lows and good output).

black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp

OEM head unit, Amplifiers Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200.

Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats.

2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3  ported box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.
