If your worried about the cop and or old people as you say. Instead of spending the extra cash. Wouldn't common sense say to just turn down the volume. Quicker and cheaper.

I can turn down my amps MUCH quicker through a knob. The volume, at least on my headunit, is slow as shit going up and down.

x2 for sure. Also, I've noticed. In a rush when I go to turn down the volume on my hu, I accidentally push the volume knob in and go to settings so then I'm stuck at that volume. Making things worse, bass knob is so much faster. Although in the cold they seem to fail lol. Two winters have taken 2 knobs from me.
