So I didn't have much luck with Singer and Mechman so I found a local shop who could recase my Alternator with a 170 Amp Stator. He put in new bearings, brushes, and sand blasted it to clean it up. He Bench tested it a 148 Amps @ 1100 RPMs. The old stock alternator was 80 Amps and dirty as hell, take a look!Old StatorRecased alternatorNew Stator that was installed, the pic didn't come out to good.Got a KinectikHC600 for the trunk for a little more capacity to hold up the voltage. Not much but better then nothing.Both batteries did get fully charged I just got a pic of me charging the duralast for under the hood. Nothing is installed yet but I will be working on it tonight or tomorrow. JEFFYBOI Posted April 24, 2014 Author Report Share Posted April 24, 2014 well I had a issue with it not charging at idle so I put a Smaller pulley on the alternator and smaller belt and bammmmmmm! back upto 14.6V at idle and it stays above 14V almost all the time now i only see it drop to around 13.5 for a second here and there @ full tilt. Huge improvement @ idle! The spot right below the door handle is a stock tweeter and I plan on using it. im going have to do a little modifying to get what I want mounted in there. I been looking at some of the precision power horn or bullet tweeters to throw in there.
