I need help figuring out if I need to run them in full range, or high pass mode. Also, I would like some assistance about the high and low pass filters. Around what frequency should I put them at? My deck is a pioneer deh-p8400bh
Dude2800 Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 Those are mid range speakers. Do you have highs? Are the 4 or 8 ohm? I would run them off channel 3&4 and set high hi pass to 80. And use 1&2 for the highs.

It looks like it has high pass and low pass per 2 channels so I don't see why it wouldn't work. Too bad the pwx's are useless because they don't have any specs published. How to tune the midranges is by ear, you start out high and then go down untill you feel like it sounds better/worse. Same thing with the High pass, you start out low and then go up untill you feel that it doesn't sound good anymore. People that suggest numbers might be used as a starting point but youll probably want something else. Those midranges have no midbass, since they are midranges. Also they should even be called pro audio since they always publish all specifications and some graphs. Pro audio products are usually used in ported enclosures, that's what they are designed around Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
