smalltownbigsound Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 I'm new to running amps that need more power then one battery can do. Just bought a t30001bd. It's pushing a hcca 15.4 wired at 2 ohms. I have 1/0 wire. Stock alternator and d34 battery. I was gonna buy another d34 battery to start and a upgraded alternator. Any ideas or advice? Thanks.
hdorre Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 Do you plan on staying at 2 ohms? The RF outputs what.. like 1500 - 2000 arms at 2? How big is ur stock alt? alaskanzx5 Posted March 6, 2014 Report Posted March 6, 2014 Spending money is the best way to get more from an amp. Check to see what the average stent draw of the car and amp(s) are and check what your voltage drop is like now on music full tilt. From there you can make a better choice. IMO, I would rather be able to produce more power then add more storage. I would get an alt and then Another battery if needed. Don't forget big 3. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
smalltownbigsound Posted March 6, 2014 Author Report Posted March 6, 2014 The amps rated at 2000 rms at 2. I plan on staying at 2 unless I get a different sub, which wouldn't be for a while. I'm not sure about the alt, I'll have to look at it. Im assuming it's rated low because my lights dim bad and my volt gauge in the jeep drops to the red every time bass hits
