f3rr3t
In progress of gathering componets for build. Down to alts and batts. system is 6 NS 15'S on 3 NS-1'S looking at 5 mechman 370 alts if he can do the bracket if not I'll go with four. battery options are the following 4 d7500,s but really cuts into my room for amps and wiring. Or I can do 8 d6500,s which actually will give me alil more room to work with. Actually probably don't need as many batts with 5 alts but doesnt hurt at all. any opinions? Karkov
that's a lot of money into a stereo setup.... XS Power is good choice, what about XP3000's or D3100's? What setup will your box be in so we know for what area? What space do you have to work with for the batteries? f3rr3t
Xs 3000 and do 100 would be limited to 4. Vehicle is a yukon xl everything below window line and being 2nd row seats. Pretty much either 4 7 500 or 8 do 500 are my choice.
gckless
When I said ultracaps, that wasn't a joke. f3rr3t
Do the ultra caps require the same alternator requirements? Never even heard of them. And disadvantages or safety concerns? Need to read that thread for sure. And track down the math to figure out how big of a bank is needed.
f3rr3t
Interesting read and very cool. But would like to see it used more in a daily situation long term before I go that route. I believe I'll stick with batteries for now.
