Harsh Kumar Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Amps in my project - 1. 4000W RMS Mono 2. 1100W RMS Mono 3. 1000W RMS 4 Ch 4. 1000W RMS 4 Ch Total - 7100W (+ loss due to efficiency) I am getting 2x "Mechman Universal 320A Alternators" (one with Honda OEM regulator pin, other self exciting) 2x "XS Power D3100" lots of 1/0 Gauge Wire, terminals & fuses Is it enough to keep up.? Attaching A rough wiring diagram. suggest better options
sundown escort Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Ofc to the 4k with 300amp fuse(what I would do). Don't skimp on the 250amp fuses alt to battery.

snafu Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 I calculated roughly 360 Amps of current at 14 Volts required to play MUSIC at clipping This assumes Class D amplification for the bass and Class AB for the top end. Harsh Kumar Posted March 17, 2014 Author Report Posted March 17, 2014 Won't that be a problem, if one alternator is on OEM honda pin (controlled by ELD).. & second alternator self exciting.? couldn't that cause voltage difference between both alternators.? What would be it's effect on the system if this is the case.?
