Aj11 Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 n8, your saying the port behind the drivers would cause issues. do you mean they would be loading into the port? or do you Mean just that design it's self would cause problems? loading into the port or not? i have a ski hole also. trying to figure out the best way to. i think I'm going subs facing trunk ports up threw the deck lid. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
n8ball2013 Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 If i was going to attempt this it would be in a 4th or 6th where the direction woofers are firing doesn't matter. Ported the only option is to fire up for me and port rear or port through the rear deck. I don't like firing one way port the other. It causes loading issues. BuckTussa Posted March 18, 2014 Author Report Posted March 18, 2014 You guys are awesome. I really appreciate the comments and suggestions. Sounds like the way the box is now (sealed facing trunk) it should be left alone or either drop a sub and port through the ski hole. I do like the cone area of 3 12's but if I go down to 2 12's and port through the ski hole it's a win correct? If that's the case then i'm all about it. Another words you all agree 2 ported 12's is louder than 3 sealed 12's right? Still confused on which way to face the subs though. 4th order as much as I want to just can't happen at the moment since the boxes are massive. One day though Love that old school Power1000bd amp man! Thanks! I've had her for almost 12 years! Never got hot or skipped a beat after all this time. I'm blown away by the quality and power of RF gear. Best money spent.
Aj11 Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 you could do a fourth with one 12 or 2tens. it might not be louder (might) but it will sound better! that i know. you may even be able to do one with 2 12s. put what you need in there, stroller other stuff then take measurements. if you can get 5cubic feet you can do a forth with 2 12s. 2ft sealed 3vented. if you build it in the trunk odds are you can squeeze some extra air space out of your trunk jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
