I really like the fi bl 12 too.or the Q price is not bad. other than the great bass these do have pretty darn good sound quality? I wanna hear one of these things. watched a couple vids of the Q 10 and damn. I am being serious saying I would have to go around and Loctite ever damn bolt on my car. seriously my car might fall apart with one of those

haha that's the idea, ct sound stuff is really hard to find right now. but execution audio is the same company. can be found on Ebay and Amazon. id highly recommend the 1500.1 great amp! as far as soind quality there isn't a bad one! they will all blow your mind as long as you have a good box! don't buy a box build a box! it cost about $60 to build a box And to buy one that will be terrible will be about $90. we can help when that time comes. what you need to understand is the box is more important than the subs And amp! a great box can make a $50 sub sound better then a dc level 6 if the level 6 is in a 1ft sealed box. find a sub, then amp to match (I'll.help then we'll talk about the box

For the most part I plan on purchasing a full new car audio system for my ride in two weeks. Tax Returns. I haven't fully made up my mind on anything yet but this is what I have been leaning towards. Head Unit - Kenwood KDC-x998 (one of the better 1-din that will fit my ride and that puts out 4v pre-amps and a good equalizer). I really also liked the Apline CDE-HD149BT, but I guess doesn't fit my ride. Same with Pioneer's 80 PRS. I will be going with 5 1/4'' components in the front. Been looking at Polk db5251, Alpine Type R's, or Focal. Looking to stay around $200 - $300 price range with the front components. In a previous post, I was turning between getting a 5 channel JL HD900/5 or Alpine PDX-V9 to power my comps and sub (JL 3w3-12 2ohm). Both those amps rated 100w x 4 and 500w x 1. Or I was looking at a JL XD600/6 to power my comps and 6x9's with a Mono JL JX500/1D or XD600/1 to power my sub. The 6x9's I was looking at were Alpine SPR-69's or there was also some Focal's that I was interested in. And as for the sub, as per this topic, JL 3w3-12 2 ohm. I liked this sub by reviews I was reading as well as the 100w- 500w RMS that it is rated at. I figured plugging 500w -600w up to that JL sub would be just perfect. That is what my plans have started to formulate into. I am open to any suggestions though, as I would not like to have any regrets when done. That's why I started this post about the 3w3's. This way now you guys can get a little better idea of what I have been looking into. My amp setups, I am willing to pay a little more for an efficient, quality, stay somewhat cool amp. Box wise I was looking at JL's sealed one they offered or building a ported one. My ride is a Buick LeSabre Sedan. Someone had mentioned to me to think about putting two ports to my trunk, through my rear dash panel.

Why do you think only the Kenwood din size deck will fit in your car? Din size deck is a din size deck.

i was thinking the same thing, just forgot to say something. a single Din is a single din. you just buy the $12 harness and $15 dash kit. all single (1) din are the same Size. same thing with double (2) din

been on fi's site since last posted. those are amazing. im bout sold on Q10 or 12. as with the head unit, im not sure why? It says the alpine hd149bt and pioneer 80 prs don't fit. don't know if something sticks out too far in back or what. doesn't really make sense, but then again I haven't called and asked. I really liked both them decks better than the kenwood. I mainly listen to hip hop so those fi's would fit me good, but no video of any other types of music. they still got pretty good sound quality with other types. also it sounds like I would need some GOOD components in the front. Month wait but looks well worth it. box would have to be right. lol , pretty much already forgot about the 3w3 lol. looks like those fi's rms @1500 but most peoples videos are showing them using only 1000 rms. must be ok

Once you go Fi...it's hard to ever change... A q 12 on say a SoundQubed 1200w, with a Soundqubed 120.4 running some nice 5.25 components in the front active...would be just about perfect for a daily driver.

Honestly, dropping down to the SSD line of Fi's sub is a bit better way to save money. Not knocking the Q or anything, just for what you want, a respectable and reliable daily system without breaking the bank, the SSD fits your needs VERY well.

I ran a single SSD 10 in 1.24 cubes tuned to 33hz or so for well over a year, underpowered at that... Played anything I needed it to, and did it with a shit load of authority, clarity, and quality.

If you can fit a din size deck, you can fit any din size deck. Anyways screw the deck right for now. The next most important thing you do after buying a badass FI sub

is build it a proper box. DON'T BUY a prefab box, make a good ported box or have someone make it for you. The box plays such a major role in how a sub sounds.

dude, get a 12 inch. from what how your talking about what you like/want get a 12 and id go with a q or bl. go big or go home! this Is a addiction! YOU WILL WANT MORE! if you can afford the nicest sub you want get it! because if you settle for less you gonna think.. well.i wonder what the better one would sound like, or a bigger one. then next year when you get your taxes you'll get it. so trust me don't settle. the sq amps are very nice, but price execution audio to. i forget which one is cheaper but both do what they say!

i Would get the fi bl put it n a 3cubic foot box tune that Bitch to 30-33hz put a 1+++watts to it and enjoy!

as for comps.. crescendo Is awesome! all the big boys use them. as far as comp amps id look into anyone of the brands we listed used on Ebay to save some $ be sure to run 12g to them.

you will need a good 0g wiring kit, And to do your big 3! later on upgrade your deckthen get a good amg battery! if your alt Is around 1120amps you should be fine. adding a second battery in the trunl would be very beneficial!.add some deadner down the road and you will have a bad azz system man! you'll.laugh at kids when they say jl!

Yeah AJ I appreciate all your help today. I would have never looked that hard into those. I am looking dead set at the Q12's. I don't want any afterthoughts or regrets. Going ported. Recommend any for sure upgrades on the Q12?
