Is 75% safe to go with without a DD1?

Recommended Posts

Wait.. when did using a dd1 = "the right way"?

Well educate me. What's the right way?

Using an Oscope, or a DD1. DD1 is much easier and you get the same result. Not to mention a hell of a lot less expensive than a good oscope.

Are you running highs off HU power with that kind of sub power? If you're running an amp for your highs it really doesn't matter how loud you turn up the HU. Set it to a safe level and adjust your gains until clipping by dmm/ear/etc. I don't know how much clean power that SPL amp is putting out, but there's no way your highs are keeping up if they're off HU power.
