BassDoctor
The bend in the port is needed to get the tuning that you desire. If you were to shrink your current enclosure, the port would need to be LONGER to keep the same tuning, unless you also shrunk down the port size. 04 Honda Accord LX Sedan Kenwood Excelon X998 XS Power D3400 XS Power D1200 Singer 275A alternator with factory bypass 64 sqft SecondSkin Damplifier Build to be decided
sicklife17
Ok so I think if I go down to a 1.5 inch port that's 9in long in the back if I'm correct it wil bring me to about 33hz. Now if I'm correct te lowere the hz the harder it hits right?
BassDoctor
If you are using Joe's box that would give you 13Hx1.5W=19.5sqin of port, much too small for the SA-12. If you're using the one you mentioned above, that would give you only 22sqin of port. I'd aim for a bit more than that. How hard the system hits is dependent on more than just tuning. Lower isn't always better. 04 Honda Accord LX Sedan Kenwood Excelon X998 XS Power D3400 XS Power D1200 Singer 275A alternator with factory bypass 64 sqft SecondSkin Damplifier Build to be decided
sicklife17
Ok so the dimensions that I am limited to are 29.75x14x12. What would you suggest for the port size I would like to keep the box in about 2cu lil less may be fine.
CleanSierra
Get 2 SA8s for the airspace you have. It will have a better outcome than trying to cram a 12 where you don't have room. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Joe X
A single DC Audio 12" would work well on those dimensions, those only need 1.5-1.75 cubic feet to work well.
