moredbs Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 sorry if this question is dumb, but I'm about to order an mla module for my current 270 ho alt. my vehicle is pcm controlled obviously.i am also ready to upgrade to a mechman 370 alt which says i can't use the voltage regulator kit if pcm controlled.so my question is will the mla module allow me to use the voltage regulator kit from mechman. if not i will purchase the dual alt kit and run the system separate
Amart88 Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 No. The MLA just tricks the PCM into charging a bit higher. It will not allow you to also use the mechman regulator. I personally would go with an externally regulated alternator in your situation. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
