gr8handogoatness Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 Gonna need to upgrade that electrical.
jarrius Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 IMO.... great sub bad choice in amp. Hifonics will put more of a strain on your electrical then soundqubed amps or really any other good brand amp. With what electrical you wanted to do expect to see voltage drop and due to that may be only 1600rms or so. You should get a new alt if running 2k+any way. 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
john253a Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 http://www.soundqubed.com/HDS300-Bundle_p_234.html for $400 you get a 3"vc sub and 1200rms amp with q-mat if you want latter on get another package the same and run strapped with 2400rms (abut only fter elec upgrade)
MyimpalaFinLBS Posted April 4, 2014 Author Report Posted April 4, 2014 That amp fit my budget..for now...its not a forever choice. I would have bought that bundle but they are out of stock. Plus, in the amp section they posted the internal pics of the brz2400 and I believe the AQ.....almost identical to the eye. Should do exactly what I need it to do for the time being.

Guest Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 lol hifonics board and audioque board are totally different. except audioque has better resale value. plus it's more efficient
Nikitaaa Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 Not when your starts smoking because of bad electricalI hate it when people post things like this. Can you explain to me exactly how "bad electrical" will make his "amp smoke"..In my mind, there is a designed operating voltage range for that amp that SHOULD protect if he goes above or below it to prevent harm to the amp. Believe it or not even if the amp is on the low side of this operating voltage it WILL function. If amp companies thought it was unsafe for the amp to play at these lower voltages, they would build accordingly. Edit: I may have been a little rough but im so tired of people saying that your equipment is 100% going to fail or the amp won't put put any power with voltage that isn't constantly perfect. "Oh you're running a 1k watt amp huh? Nah it'll blow with quad alts and 7 D3400". 2007 M/T Honda Civic Coupe EX (4) Sundown Audio X-8's (2) Ampere Audio 3800.1's (3) Stinger SPV-44 Batteries (1) Mechman 240 3:1 Ratio 4th order sealed from the trunkTEAM NWSPLBest termlab scores to date in Honda trunk:151.7db legal (official) IASCA trunk 3 classBest termlab scores to date in my walled Subie:152.9db legal (unofficial) IASCA advanced 2 class155db outlaw
john253a Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 In a nut shell You will need better elect. To run the same rms amp When compacting the 2 amps you have Efficiency is power in v's power out Most amp won't like more last at 10v They all love to stay in the high 12-13v bracket So if one amp will pull you down down into 11 v's staying in the 12's at the same rms out put Witch will last longer or smoke first
