151.9dB off (2) 12's getting 2K RMS is quite a feat, but not impossible. Still, we have very little to go from as far as the subs, enclosure size/tuning, vehicle it was in,how sound deadening came into play, where the mic was placed for the measurement, what was used to measure the output (for accuracy sake), etc etc. I mean if the setup was ported and the mic was placed inside the enclosure, 151.9dB could be considered low.

I've never been into the whole SPL drag, I'd be surprised if I've ever ran a setup that could hit 130dB consistently, but I don't care to9 reach such levels of output anyways. I had a classmate that was into such though and his first setup was (4) Eclipse 500RMS 10" subs in a huge sealed enclosure in the back of a Jeep Cherokee getting rated power. He claimed to have it 143.?? in his first Comp with the setup and came in 2nd. Last I'd heard, he was running a pair of 15's getting 3K and was hitting in the 150's.

But hey, while we're all talking about people we know, I know this one guy who knows a guy that has a cousin that hit 170db with a single 6.5" sub getting 50RMS. (LOL)
