when i was at my dads i jacked it up and you cant even really see it then. even with taking off the tire, it is a pain to get to it.

and just for a little update, i ordered a voltmeter so i will be able to tell what voltage i am hitting when it goes into protect. that should be able to tell me if its because it isnt getting enough power.

so i got my voltmeter installed. hooked up to amp power and ground. when the car is on, the voltage rests at 14.5v. when playing heavy bass, it drops down to the low 12's and even into the 11v's. do you think that this is why my amp is going into protect?

not too bad. after about 20 min of listening it get a little warm to the touch. i dont think it would be thermal because once it goes into protect, it will turn back on in like 5 seconds. with thermal, i think it needs time to cool down. its never gotten hot
