Box Size for Power.....?

I have been working on getting my box built for my subs for a bit lol.

I know that running a smaller enclosure increase's a subs power handling(not sure how much). If im running 3k(before rise/voltage drop etc so its going to be alittle lower power) and they are 600 rms per sub.

Is there a certain way to determine how much smaller of a box you can get away with? Im running pretty much double the rms of the subs. The recommendations say 4.5cf-6cf.

Running this amount of power to these subs, how much smaller do you think the enclosure could be to handle this?

After reducing box size so much, the amount of gained power handling from doing so is negligible.

Hope they're getting clean power and a clean signal.

they will just melt slower! Reducing box size doesn't really do anything for thermal power handling limits.

after rise voltage etc it will probably be like 1k-1.2 each, porbably closer to 1k tho. I see them ran on that daily all the time. Just riding around mine will never see more then 1/4 tilt daily. At a comp would be the only time its ran hard and thats for about 1.5 mins tops

making the box smaller dont increase the subs wattage.. a 600 watt sub is a 600 watt sub no matter the box its in.. just like an engine. just because you put in a lighter car it dont mean it increases its horsepower.. smaller box only helps to control the sub.. the coil will still get hot if there is no sufficient air going through it

Technically thats what i meant, i know the sub power doesnt change, but the sub control increased.
