bumpinTL364
Okay, so I'm installing a system in my girlfriend's volvo s40. I have the amp (RE 3200.1) installed and getting signal from a LOC tapped into the front speaker lines from the stock amp. I know that the amp is getting power as the blue lights under the RE logo on the front of the amp turn on when the car is turned on. I know I'm getting power and signal to the LOC because when I tapped the woofer straight into the channels I have the LOC tapped into, it played. However, neither the light on the bass knob or other light that says something like pwr/grnd do not turn on, and the amp doesn't send power to the woofer. I have also tried testing by running a 3.5mm to RCA adapter directly to my phone and adjusting the input voltage and still nothing. Anyone have any idea wtf is going on here? timc31610
If you have a DMM verify voltage at your 12v+ and 12v- Sounds like you have power to the remote turn on but not to the amp itself. bumpinTL364
I will go back and check again but when I still have the carpet out and everything I checked the voltage between my positive run and the grounding spot. How would anything turn on at all if it was only getting positive power too? masterbation is free, and even saves you money.sorry but someone had to say itsorry, Jimmy...beat you to it (no pun intended) LOLDON'T get a wife. timc31610
I know you have probably already checked but Ill throw it out there anyway. Fuses, are they all good? The led under the logo most likely runs off your remote signal.
