jmdycus Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 Car: 2007 Chrystler Seabring (not convertible, if they even make it) So I'm installing a new system in the Seabring until I can afford to get a new alternator and batteries. Old system (still have all but batteries) was a Crescendo 5500BC with 3 Stinger batts running a TSNS t3 12". Hits\ SO hard in my Mazda 6. For now I'm running 2 sets of 2ohm Infinity 6x9"s (yuck) in doors and trunk off of a Hifonics 2000.4. It's loud and has a decent amount of bass considering there are no subs. I would LOVE to throw 3 12" Alpine Type Rs in the trunk. The problem is I have a bolt that hangs down so the MAX I'll be able to get out of box height is probably 15"s. I heard somewhere a long time ago you never want to double any dimension. This leaves me with a problem. Do I run 2 12"s until I get my alternator or can I actually squeeze 3 in?` I have 2 Type Rs already but have a Hifonics BRX/BRZ 3200 something or other (and never had a problem with it) and would love to pop another sub in there until I can afford to throw the T3 in. If I DO run 2 TypeR 12"s does anyone have a box design handy? I can do Nightmareaudio.com I guess (as I've never been good at designing boxes) and don't mind paying the 10$ but I heard it's a generic box design. I want to get the max out of the subs I already have in a box that will FIT my car (meaning 1 rear seat popped down, subs facing back with a port facing in this/that direction) as we all do. I wouldn't mind floating someone a few bucks (meaning more than the $10 they charge for a generic design) if I could figure out a way to get 3 12"s in the trunk. I'm not new when it comes to building boxes with ports or slots I'm just new to building boxes when I have 1 particular dimension I have to work against. Any help would be much appreciated. Inbox me with your reasonable design price. All ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance. Sincerely, I Miss Bass

Joe X Posted April 19, 2014 Report Posted April 19, 2014 I don't think you can fit 3 12s in that trunk anyways for box help go to this section: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/forum/11-subwoofers-enclosures/ Post your max dims for a box and a link to a pic of the trunk of your exact vehicle model.
