Motorboat KER Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 Looking to make a box that hits the lows and and stuff. Read a good tutorial on here so decided to try it out. It will be L shaped. The "tail" of the L will be the sealed part and the rest is the ported box. Sealed: 10w 10h 10d to have 0.35 cubes and the displacement is 0.08 so it's close enough for me. Then that will fire into the ported box that will be 10w 10h 20d with a port of 1w and 14.59 long to have 45Hz. Can anyone tell me if this is wrong?
john253a Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 You need 0.4 gross for the sealed The sa8v2 displacement is close in 0.1 Idd tune it closer to 47hz And you'll want close to a single 6" port or 28sq" for slot In 0.9net
Motorboat KER Posted April 21, 2014 Author Report Posted April 21, 2014 On the sundown site it says sealed is 0.28 cubed (after displacement). Where did you find the 0.4 from? Displacement is 0.08 cubed what is the dimensions for the 6" port? Thanks man!
jroo Posted April 21, 2014 Report Posted April 21, 2014 question on a bandpass with a 45hz tuning? So after rolloff, that would mean your sub will play to 55 hz down give or take? I dont know the full application, but unless you have midbass that is truly playing down that low, why the low tuning?
Motorboat KER Posted April 21, 2014 Author Report Posted April 21, 2014 I sorta took the concept of a fourth order or t line (forgot which) where the boxes provide the different frequencies
