Electrical for DD M4 amp

Recommended Posts

I have a DD M4 amp and am having space issues so wondering if a 270a singer alt with a D3400 under hood is sufficient. Otherwise I think I can squeeze a D975 somewhere. Just daily driver with the occasional demo and comp. Read this amp pulled 422 amps at 14.4v soooooooo yeah.

What do I need and I'll have to figure something out.

I was originally going with 270a alt, stock battery, and 2 D3100's in back but can't find an easy spot for them to sit.

Thanks

Your amp is underrated for 5k, while mine is slightly underrated at 3.8k.. so lets just say 1.2kwrms difference.

I have a Singer 230A and 2 G24s (75aH each).. one of the batts is my starter batts under the hood.

Full tilt, ill drop like .7v, while Ill drop around 1.2v at idle.

Take that for what it is...

so lets say I make it work with 270a alt and 2 d3400's. Is that safe to say I won't have any issues as far as droppin' too low?

7500 is too big. Box takes up entire floor space in back of suv but i have a space between side windows and box where they would sit on a platform nicely and flush with top of box for finishing.

The hc2400 has similar amp rating but nearly twice amp hour for same price, maybe 2 of these would suit me better unless the Ah doesn't really matter since i'll never be running it with the vehicle off anyway?
