Scalian Posted April 29, 2014 Author Report Posted April 29, 2014 Should I slide my sub to the left so that the whole sub fires into the port wall instead of part of it firing into the opening?
Scalian Posted May 3, 2014 Author Report Posted May 3, 2014 Got the box built and installed. Happy to report my rear view mirror is no longer useful. Thanks everyone for the help. Still hard to believe how much diffrence a box made.
alaskanzx5 Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 Box design is everything when it comes to getting loud or sounding good. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

Scalian Posted May 4, 2014 Author Report Posted May 4, 2014 Still need to carpet the box. Have some black carpet to match the trunk. I was happy to be able to add some bass to the system and not use up the whole trunk. Nothing to exciting about the box just put it together like the drawing. There is a little step down in the truck so i need to get some little feet or something for the corners for the back that are facing back to the trunk lid. Carpet will be the next quick project just wanted to hook up everything and make sure I got the sound i wanted before carpeting the box. I did end up using hurricane nuts and machine screws to mount in the sub. I also used bolts with a washer and lock nut to put in the terminal cup. Once the box is carpeted i just need to clean up the speaker wire runs for the rear deck and then the sub wires and it should be done. i also ordered the Rockford grill that fits under the trim ring to keep the sub protected.

I think you are going to want to be around 3.6 ft^3 net. I did half that for one speaker.
