Daddy_ Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 My dad wants to have a small system put in. He just wants to have subs installed so I'm thinking about 2 10's or 1 12". He has a 2006 Honda Oddessy Touring edition van. How much power can I run on a stock car? Was thinking running 2 10" Kicker CVR or 2 10" Alpine Type R maybe off a 800watt amp. Car: 2012 Acura TL Elite Head Unit: JL Audio Fix86 Front Stage : Alpine SPX-17PRO Rear Stage : Alpine SPR-60C Component Amp : JL Audio HD 600/4 Sub : 1 12" JL Audio W7 Sub Amp : JL Audio HD 1200
OrzechNJ Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 800 sounds good for a stock.. upgrade the wires with big3 (not expensive and will help for sure) sometimes Loud is NOT pretty Sounds like its safe to go ahead and bend that ass over.
BillKessel Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 Do not go over 1,000 watts. thats what i always recommend
FocusOn20s Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 Man I have a 2012 Ford Focus 150a alternator, no big 3, no agm batteries or anything. Got a CT Sounds 1400.1 on 4 gauge Execution Audio CCA wire, and voltage doesn't drop below 13.5 full tilt while driving.
BillKessel Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 depends on stock alt focus, some alts are only 70 amps, with electronic load detection which sucks

Can't wait until I get my 0 gauge wire installed and my NSB 34AGM should hold me at 14 HOPEFULLY as for the OP, 800 watts shouldn't do too bad on stock electrical. Do the Big 3 and your pops should be set

Daddy_ Posted April 30, 2014 Author Report Posted April 30, 2014 I think I will run a single 12" Type R off a 550 Alpine Amp at 2ohms or a Rockford fosgate at 750 at 1ohm. Which amp would you suggest would work best off stock electrical? I wont be powering the Type R to its full potential but it should still hit pretty hard? Should this sub+amp combo be fine on everything stock electrical? Ill put the link below. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_45521_Alpine-SWR-12D4.html http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_45519_Alpine-MRX-M55.html http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_34763_Rockford-Fosgate-R750-1D.html Car: 2012 Acura TL Elite Head Unit: JL Audio Fix86 Front Stage : Alpine SPX-17PRO Rear Stage : Alpine SPR-60C Component Amp : JL Audio HD 600/4 Sub : 1 12" JL Audio W7 Sub Amp : JL Audio HD 1200
