kentone_2985 Posted May 3, 2014 Author Report Posted May 3, 2014 And I've heard bad reviews on the dd1 amps frying subs left n right I've always had good luck with hifonics and they put out what they say
kentone_2985 Posted May 3, 2014 Author Report Posted May 3, 2014 Ok my dimensions are 14"deep,24"tall and 34"wide can someone please help me subs mounted on top of box port facing seat and tuned at 30hz for those low lows
kentone_2985 Posted May 3, 2014 Author Report Posted May 3, 2014 And I'm not sure on diameter for subs i know they are just a little too big for a prefab box cuz i tryd to put them in my prefab box and they dnt fit
kentone_2985 Posted May 3, 2014 Author Report Posted May 3, 2014 What I've read on here i should do both subs and port facing up....is this true? it's gunna be my daily pounder aand love that low low bass
kicker8940 Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 Do you plan on building a platform for the box to sit on,if so will 24" in Height still work? And could you possibly do 16" in Depth.
kentone_2985 Posted May 3, 2014 Author Report Posted May 3, 2014 Yea hights right on gunna put few 2x4's dwn there and can do 15" I'm tall so 15" would b max
moredbs Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 your probably gonna spend at least 200 building it yourself if you do it right. about 3 sheets .75 mdf 100.00 ,screws 7.00,glue 7.00 thats a total of 114.00 without adding for carpet or paint, and I'm guessing you have all the tools already tape measure,drill,saw,square,clamps,ect.... lol, 3 sheets of mdf for a box for 2 12's, cut smart and you'll get away with 1, while still double baffling where the subs are. Have you tried using torres? it's as straight forward as a box calc gets. my bad your right. 3 sheets .... don't know what i was thinking. 2 is plenty
everybodyknowme Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 In the beginning I've used RE calculator for years and yes I agree it is off a bit but not enough to make you notice the sound difference because this is you first build but the design below looks legit. Maybe later down the road you should experiment with it to become your own designer and get a feel for it. It's the easiest free program out.
