First time build Orion hcca 12.2?

so this is my first time building my own system..i would usually have friends do it but not this time and i just picked up a hcca 12.2 for my ranger.. gonna build the box myself but not to sure of how to go about the port (are aeroports a easier way to go) and or any type of bracing inside the box. any advice would be much appreciated.

plan on running either a Crescendo bc3500, hifonics brx2400.1d, or maybe a sundown.

You've got another thing coming if you think that sub will actually withstand 3KW.

Mine take 3k each and have for almost 2 years. If he sets his crossover, gains, and subsonic correctly 3k gives good headroom and the subs will be quite happy.

What makes you think they won't take it? Have you ran HCCA before?

really 3 feet is to big for that sub? not disagreeing just asking.

i thought those subs liked huge boxes.

I have single 10 right now in 1.25 box hits nice and low. Sometimes bigger is not better. Orion specs even smaller sq ft for single 12.

i dunno man, I had a 15" rockford sub and it told be 6 cubic feet ported and it sounded like ass. I put it in a 10 cubic foot box and it blew me away. i never trust manufacture box recommendations unless its made by aa, Fi, sundown or soundqubed. quality companys like that.

Forget the port. Do you have the electrical to run 3500 watts?

do you mean my battery or alternator?

he means a h/o alternator, probably 270 amps, and 2 batteries... maybe 3. agm style of course like XS
