They have really low prices on some of there amps, I was wondering what the outcome were to be if i made one mine, so what are some good qualities they have, what are the bad? do the cons outweigh the pros? make this more about facts than opinions, stories on why they are would be cool too. thanks

Bad

Power hungry

Does not do rated power

Sounds like crap compared to good amps(IMO)

All around just bad amps

Good

Price if it's ALL you can afford but 9 times out of 10 there is something better in your price range.

Hifonics=con

in short there's a reason there so cheap. they do make a few good amps like lanzar 99% of there stuff if junk but there's one or two amps that do there job correctly.

but even then.... pass!

tell you what tho every hifonics and Lanzar amp I've seen have been owned by kids who think the gain is volume and that subs only get loud if there boost is Maxed out and they keep on playing! they won't dieh I'll give them that but that's all I'll give them!

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

Cea-2006 doesn't mean anything anymore companies always find a way around it like only doing rated power a 4 ohm on high voltage in ideal electrical

2 12 rockford p3s

soundstream rubicon 2500

crescendo audio mezzo 6.5

ct sounds 125.4

execution audio and shca wiring

How much power are you looking for. for 120$ you can get a good 600w

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Audio-Technix-400-1-amp-amplifier-400w-RMS-1000w-MAX-Class-D-1-ohm-stable-

Just bought one for my friends build.

Honestly the only good thing about a hifonics is that it will create some sort of power. Whether or not it sounds good or not is according to the user. Doubt it puts out clean power anywhere near what it is rated for. Not to mention inefficient as hell.

What is your budget? and do you already have the subs or not? Because it's going to cost more than you'd like to find that power at 2 ohms I'm guessing.
