If your getting 2 subs, then you will want the dual 4 ohm subs so you can get a final 1 ohm load. And i think most will agree for your budget that soundqubed 1200 is your best bet for your budget and set up.

I understand. If you need something cheaper that is still good here you go http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-PIOGMD9601-GMD9601/dp/B00D3NJ5B6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399611961&sr=8-1&keywords=pioneer+gm-d9601. I run this and it's held up great. It will push those subs just fine. But if i had the spare cash i would pick up the soundqubed 12oo.1

Monoblock is whats most commonly used for sub applications. makes wiring easier. Most every amp will give you the wattage for 4 ohm, 2 ohm and 1 ohm.

next question how does having monoblock running 2 subs affect rms and anything else important

Assuming final ohm load is the same regardless of number of speakers:

Power will be split equally across the number of drivers.

Ex: You have a 1000w amp on 2 drivers. Each driver would see 500 watts. In the case of 4: 250w each. Etc

Edit: And 2 subs will be double the box space. Also theoretically twice as loud -- +3db

if you have that amp why in the H are you looking at crunch amps?

and almost any sub out There will.be better then duals. except maybe some sdx or xplods.

if i were you and your planning.on upgrading and getting loud. i wouldn't buy 2 ok subs. i would save up and get one really nice sub (for now) for about $200-$250 you Can get a really nice sub. get a dual 4ohm.and run @2ohm yo your current amp. save up some more.get a good 1500-2000w amp for another 200-$250 run that at 2ohm then when you want to go bigger (we both know you do) get another matching sub d4 bridge them down to 1ohm build a nice box and unleash the beast!

sq hd3 =$225 (i think)

c2 12s can be had for $180

sundown e3

stato v2 800w =$200 x2

2000w sq amp used can be had for about $250

there's no reason.to rush and buy it all at once and have something your not gonna be happy with. take your time and build you're system piece by piece over a few months. any one of the subs above by itself will stomp.all over those duals!

Not too shabby for dual subs :).

I commend you though, you chose an empty field, where you bother NOBODY, to do your system tuning.

I chose an empty church parking lot to do mine's. I go all the way as far away from neighborhoods as possible and do it.

Around Orlando there's no fields like that :(.

FWIW: The choice of your subs are great so far, all you have left is some amps and you're in business!
