Diamond500
I was just wondering what would be better to have for my set up in my car. I sold my 2 15's just because i could really use the extra room in the trunk now plus less weight in the back. I was thinking a single 10'' or a single 12''. Which would be better? SMF93
If you have the room to spare the single 12 has more cone area and would be louder, but be sure to build a proper enclosure

It's all in how much space you want to use up. 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
Diamond500
I went with the one 12'' instead of the 10'' Thanks guys. Now as for the box, is it possible i can get something custom made like this but ported? Or should i go ahead and buy this sealed box. Space is a issue a reason why i'm down grading my 2 15's to one powerful sub. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ZEnclosures-1998-2002-Honda-Accord-SUB-BOX-Subwoofer-Enclosure-/300887834946?pt=US_Speaker_Sub_Enclosures&hash=item460e500142
tdsa23
If you want it to sound the best build a ported box. How much space do you have to spare? Pioneerchuck
Anything is possible with the right amount of money...Lol but if you only have the 1-12 then it should be pretty easy to get a similar design in there using a ported box.
Diamond500
The space i have to spare is basically what you see in that pic. That box is perfect for what i need, lately iv'e been having to many trips with gear and stuff so need as much room as possible. Having 2 15's gave me like no room at all lol, was fun while it lasted. But yeah i don't know much about prefab boxes like that and was hoping i can get some info about getting one built like that but ported. Or sticking to the sealed if that box is made good. Aj11
that box is for 2 12s, and a dc xl will brake a cheap.box like that apart! why spend $4++ on a great sub to cheap out on the box? if your looking for a sealed box why did you buy a xl? anyway. you really should build a nice custom box for that sub. it really is a shame to put it in a sealed prefab. hope you make the right choice. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

They sell single 12 boxes as well not just 2. That's why i'm asking on here if i should stick to that box or find someone that could basically make me a high quality box like that if space is my issue. Aj11
it's just such a good sub. how much power are you gonna give it? what you need to do is build a box "size" And shape maybe a Lil bigger and port it. at least 2cubes net tuned to 30ish hz that box is 1.7 feet. so.add a inch here 2inches there you'll be over 2feet. add a slot vent or a 4inch flared aero port and your set. you could build that box (better) for $50 or have someone build a great one for $250 but don't buy prefab Man. i know it looks cool but so doesn't that girl at the bar when you had to much. list some.dimensions and ask for a design if you give that sub close to or rated power it really will break that box apart. have one built. please for your sub jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
