I'm in the market for component set ups that will keep up with 2 13w7s. Going in a ported box at 30 hz.

The components or the subs ??

LOL, if you plan to run JL subs ... why not run JL components ??

Yeah the C5 and ZR components are awesome. Expensive but you bought two w7s so obviously price isn't the issue. Hertz hi energy is another that would work well. Are you planning on running in the stock locations? or are you going to fabricate some pods for them? If you are going to fabricate you could look at getting 2 sets. I have toyed with the idea but decided against it.

probably run them in stock location. I was interested in the C3. my buddy has them with his w7 and it sounds good. i was thinking about a set for up front and a set for the back. I'll be runnin a rockford t600.4 to them. i Like the hertz hi energy, but i've heard they freeze real bad in the cold and destroy themselves when u try to play them. I work in freezing temps alot, so my car will be exposed to them. How do the c3 compare to the ZRs? i've heard that the C5 wont get as loud as the c3, its more for sq. it also has a lower rms.

hopefully you are attacking your electrical system to keep up haha take a listen to the higher end jl components and hertz 165xl's maybe some focal stuff and if moneys no option let your ear do the picking not the internet. Listen to the speaker before dropping cash.

ill say it like i always say it. F##K the DD-1. I don't care if you or anyone buys one. (well i do, but that isn't my point) Get an O-scope in the very minimum and learn how to use it or you are just guessing your settings like every other noob. :) once you master the O-scope then step up to a DD-1 or even better a DD-1 Plus.
