Can someone explain this to me...?

Looks like the wire broke after the terminal. Whatever you did is holding the wire in the terminal but tearing off after it, i would replace that wire

yeah, but what i found weird was the fact that it wasn't only this wire, it was 2 of my grounds my main+ and my amp+

Sounds like the way you soldered it. Ive never seen that happen before. Crimping may solve your problem.

you have that hooked to the battery there in that pic? where does it go from there?

that was going from xs to my amp

yeah, crimping all my wires tomorrow as soon as the crimper gets in

You may want to use die-electric grease on wires before inserting into fitting. Is you Cad wire CCA? If you soldered did you use the wrong solder? Use Marine grade heat shrink it has a waterproof adhesive built into it also to make it waterproof. Normal heat shrink is not marine grade

If it is cca it is quite easy to burn the strands if you get to close with a propane torch

yeah its cca, I'm thinking it was the soldering, not sure if ill want to use heat shrink again, can't/won't really tell if my wiring is going bad (future references)

so for now i think ill stick with crimping
