Can someone explain this to me...?

Recommended Posts

Ok so I'm running for the most part all sky high 1/0

except for my main wire, which is cadence 1/0

everything was working fine until a day or 2 ago

where my volts were dropping like crazy shutting my system

down, was confused thought my batteries were messed up

or my alt, but car never shut off

so i check my wire and notice that my main came loose like nothing

everything is soldered, except not that i crimped my main line,

then today i check my wire because it started acting up last night

then notice wires coming loose like nothing

here is a pic. not sure what is going on but i ordered a crimper

to see if that can solve my shit!!!

or maybe my batteries?

heard before i shouldn't run an optima yellow top

and an xs power?

not sure, can someone please explain what is going on here

thanks,

best,

How old is that cadence? Corrosion can make the strands brittle.

less than a year old, sky high 1/0 was the same

Looks like the wire broke after the terminal. Whatever you did is holding the wire in the terminal but tearing off after it, i would replace that wire

yeah, but what i found weird was the fact that it wasn't only this wire, it was 2 of my grounds my main+ and my amp+

Maybe the solder, or technique. Never seen that on 1/0 though.

cut off the tope piece of the wire, it looks and feels good beyond that point

i have a crimper coming in tomorrow, hope that helps
