SO I got some work done over the weekend, got my power windows installed and working.

Found the perfect place for the switches for the power windows.

Started thinking about a head unit and found a JVC KX-NW7000 for $120 shipped, so I picked up. It sure was packed nice and tight in the box.

I didn't know it came with the Bluetooth adaptor so it was a nice surprise when I saw it, just too bad it doesn't work.

I was originally going to move my heater control to the bottom of the centre console but decided to keep them in the factory location.

So instead I modified the console for the JVC deck, I did loose my cup holders but who need that anyways. lol Plus this way it leave me the dash for a future upgrade, thinking of a iPad mini in the dash. Will see what happens in the near future.

I sanded and drilled hole all the way around so the kitty kat hair had something nice to grab.

Then it was time for some filler.

I still need to give it one more coat of filler for the small pin holes and imperfection but wanted to see what it looked like. Turned out pretty nice and happy with all the custom work I'm doing as its my first time doing any thing like this.

I also order some 5M RGB led light, 5M RGB wire, 10 X RGB male and female connectors, 4 X push button black aluminum switch, 2 X volt meter, 6 X 6 position terminal connectors, fuse and holders so I can try out the doors. and a new soldering iron as I went to use mine and it no longer worked.

What kind of iron did you get?
I just got a new one for doing a ton of LEDs in a house, and it made it so much easier having a nice one, especially with a sponge basin

Great job on the kitty hair. I should have done that on my ipad dash, but I didn't know at the time and used body filler for structure.

No issues, but there easily could be in the future haha

It's coming together nicely

Yes I have a lot of stereo weight. I build for Smiles Per Gallon not Miles Per Gallon LOLZ

My build - 1996 4Runner with 2 18s - 149+ in a sealed box (with radiators)

I had a Weller station and can't remember when the last time I used it. So I just got a Weller pencil iron, will do the job I need it to. Ya the kitty cat hair is great to use before the filler, I was going to glass the console and figured the kitty cat hair will be just as good. You just need to remember to drill some holes for it to grab, cause I don't think it would have held with out them. ( so I have been told) Dashes and console are pretty smooth and wasn't sure if just sanding would have been good so I went the extra step.
