DatDude619
Got 2 Rockford p3d415's looking to go ported considering a bandpass if I can fit it. Got a max of 44 wide by 35 deep and trying to stay at 16 high for view reasons. Going in a 02 mountaineer if that helps. Also looking to tune at 32hz. Thanks in advance for any help. DatDude619
Thank you very much for the fast reply. Small change in the available space after amp rack build. I'm working with 44 wide 24 deep and 16 high same subs. Also got 2 44x24 prices left over from old builds so top 2 pieces are cut
Joe X
Changed the above to same spec, but basically within your new external dimensions.
Joe X
The clearance to the rear gate needs to stay at 4" though so just make sure it's the case.

Hugh G. Rection
The clearance to the rear gate needs to stay at 4" though so just make sure it's the case. it needs more than that unless you compensate the tuning and internal pressures of the enclosure to make up for the effect that the close proximity of the gate will have on the port. in general, to keep from affecting the tuning too much, you would want to use atleast 3x the distance from the gate as the size of the port. even then it will affect it, it just wont be very noticable to the average ear. there is a big difference from what a box will do on paper, and what it does when assembled and installed.
