take it out the car and try it in some1 else's car/setup..... to be absolutely sure it's the amp, also try a diff amp on those tweets.

always helps to have a test bench for things like this.

unfortunately some things hav defects from the factory. (being a sundown amp tho, i'd more guessing it's something simple that you have missed)

i wish i had a test bench. ill hook up the tweets to my other 4 channel thats working fine. thanks for the suggestions i really do hope its nothing big, if i gotta ship it thats gonna suck already because im in hawaii and shipping costs are retarded.

Did you open the amp to see if the rca input( on the channel that is hissing) has a bad solder joint on the ground.

And as far as the grounding of the amp, you should ground the batt and amp to the chassis.

nope didnt open the amp, wouldnt even have a clue what im looking at. yeah my battery bank is grounded to chassis.

turn the car to just playing the radio "car not running" turn the volume on the head unit all the way down does it hissss? if the speakers do not his when the car is running you have alternator feedback. i ran 0 gauge from my + on my battery to my alternator and it made a his until i grounded it better
