6 Sundown SA 8s SEALED

Recommended Posts

yes will be loud and sound very well

Compared to 2 18s?

WE won't know that and that is stepping into vs. territory. As for being low, sealed boxes tend to have a larger bandwidth than ported boxes.

Larger bandwidth yes, depending on where the ported is tuned. Typically not with the same authority in the lower registers.

OP, why sealed? You might like 3-4 in a ported better. And don't know why you're comparing 6 8's to 2 18's, that's a huge box size difference.

"Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand.

6 8's is around 5 cuft, 2 18's is nearly double that if not more.

Oh easily. I could see an average 6 8's box being 5-6 gross, and the 2 18's needing double that net.

What about the 8s in a ported?

6 8's ported, 2 18's sealed - probably not, but maaaaybe. Build it and find out.
