truthsayer Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 So ive got a single Soundqubed HDC4 15 dual 1 ohm and Im considering the Q1-3500.1D running at .5 ohm. Any opinions on whether im trying to do too much power or could do more? I am going to be running this woofer in a civic hatchback for competition only. No daily driving at all would you suggest more than a 3500? I debated 2 of them I'm confused, first you where concerned one would be to much power, and now your debating two. truthsayer
morphey86 Posted June 18, 2014 Author Report Posted June 18, 2014 you must not have read the part where I also asked if I could do more. thanks though
morphey86 Posted June 18, 2014 Author Report Posted June 18, 2014 are you just here to give me a hard time or are you actually going to give legit advice?
truthsayer Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 No, if you noticed. I was finishing typing and posting , when your post went up. Your post literally went up just before mine did. Edit. how was my response to amps power not legit. truthsayer
SLAYER1805 Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 would you suggest more than a 3500? I debated 2 of them Personally I'd run one, I just like to play it safe but that's just my opinion. I've seen a competitor down here run 2 of those amps on a HDC4 15 if I'm not mistaken. Don't exactly remember what happened to that setup but it was possible.
morphey86 Posted June 18, 2014 Author Report Posted June 18, 2014 im fairly new to the competition/SPL scene. Im shooting for a 150+ out of the 1 15. I just want to make sure I have enough power. Ill definitely do all the electrical necessary I just don't want to be caught with too little power. of course at the same time I don't want to be replacing shit left and right lol. I guess that was the purpose of the post is I just want someone to tell me the most power I can run to this bad boy without causing it to roach everytime. it will be a 100% burp box
pa-pa-platypus Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 stick with the single amp for now.. get some experience under your belt before you go bigger This isn't teeball. YOU DO NOT GET A TROPHY JUST BECAUSE YOU SHOW UP. Put the work in and then maybe get the respect when it has been earned 151.6 with single 12 at 41 hz 153.2 with 2 12's at 43 hz power: dd m4
