edit.....i did get a call back from the towing company about an hour ago and talked to the guy and he said it sounds like the tow driver just disconnected the linkage. let me get ahold of him and ill give you a call back.

so he sounded like he wasn't giving me teh run around...yet

Thats what they do on rearwheel drive vehicles since you cant really use the wheel lift on the rear wheels unless your front tires are turned straight.

The linkage is easy to put back on, all you got to do is connect it, it should be in plan site on the side of your transmission. By him disconnecting it he was able to take the vehicle out of park and into gear so the tires will roll freely without dragging.

My question is why he put it in a drive gear and not neutral.

Good luck, and hopefully everything works out right.

now i know i cant double park my van anymore lol...

but yea check on the drivers side of the transmission and look for a "rod" dangleing there, and if there is look for a lever with a hole that might accept the end of the rod, take a pair of pliers and push the rod back into the lever hole...

Ok I use to do this kind of towing he took off the linkage to put it in neutral he did not hook it back up rigt so fanatic was able to start the car drive home and it shoke lose

All the tow company will do is tell you to take them to court they 80% of there cases tho

Have you ever had your woofers blown?

i took a look and i didn't see anything like that....i can take a pic or 2 see if you can figure it out?

i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?

take em bro, im good with transmissions, one side will have metal lines, and one side will be the linkages... or if you want take and remove the linkage and push the linkage untill its all the way to the front of the trans. (not towards the rear) and then make sure your shift lever is in park , with it there the linkage and the lever should match rite up, squese them back together and see if that fixes your problem...
