I'm not extremely knowledgeable about car audio, but if I'm not mistaken if you are taking away from the cab area of the vehicle a higher tuning box would work better. Not quite sure if that is accurate though. My current box is tuned at 40 hz and sounds just fine.

but don't you want to be able to slam songs like "Soul Survivor" by Jeezy, or "No Problem" by Lil Scrappy? If you tune to 45 hz, your subs will probly bottom out on songs like that or else they would just be silent.

Who says he's going to be listening to those songs?

It's his system, it's his choice of tuning, 40Hz is just fine.

interchangeable ports are always welcome :D

that's what everyone has been telling me. Go with interchangeable ports. I'm really not down with the idea myself. I'd rather have a box tuned for music that can put up decent numbers. My box I have now is at 40 hz and I love it. I don't have enough experience to know how much difference the extra 5 hz up will make. Of course I've never had 4 15s directly behind my head also either . . . . :blink:
