A Little Reminiscing M109A6 Paladin Fire Mission

This was my MOS (13B Cannon Crewmemebr) in the Army, although we were used as infantry down range. I was the loader, way faster than this dude, he's struggling LOL. Rounds are 98lbs. The green charge they are using is the smallest (the only one allowed at Sill) Up to 4 can be loaded. There are also charge 7 white bags and super 8 red bags. Anyway, just an idea of the fun that can be had in the Army.

I once had a 23 round fire mission using smoke rounds. Don't know where we were firing, but the 1st Sgt wanted to get rid of the rounds before changing position and of course he picked our gun. Most missions are 3-4 rounds, 23 was a fucking awesome workout.

I love watching Howitzers and I'd love to stand next to one some day, can't imagine what that's like.
