ROLEXrifleman
Bought some overall good shape 5th gen camaro rims of CL. Paid $300 for rims and tires, no not the rubber that's mounted now, so overall happy with the purchase. The question is I noticed a few nicks on the inside of the rim and a few on the outside along with what appears to be staining on one rim. My questions are: How do rims get stained like this? How do these types of chips dings whatever you call them get there? Is there anything I can put on it to keep it from peeling of bubbling up etc? What is the best way to clean this type of rim? Thanks for any help you guys can provide. I attached pics so you can see what I mean. Stain: inside chips pits: overall pic Rolex you sicken me. OrionStang
Have no idea about the "stain", but the other marks just look like something hit them. Possibly, even from the way they've been stored since being removed from the car. You don't really need any special cleaner for those type wheels, just wash them with the car. You'll have to pay special attention to corners of the spokes and the lug nut holes, though. Just a washcloth with soapy water and a rinse.
