SnowDrifter
What software do you all use to put some custom bass lines in songs? And I mean more than just turning up the bass. You know how there are 49831 versions of "dark horse" floating around? I mean stuff like that. Not necessarily boosting the original bass like, but adding your own different one. The way I do it right now... And the only way I know... It's tedious and to be honest... Sucks. Basically I need to generate a sine wave at a given frequency, drag it to where I want, adjust the length manually, the adjust the end point so it ends at "0" so it doesn't make a popping noise. And doing things like kick drums or sweeps and needing to line up the sine waves so I don't get cancellation makes me want to pull my hair out. Add on that If I can't figure out what frequency a song needs to be - usually looking up chords on Google and cross referencing with a chart, I'm SOL. At least I'm hoping there's a better way. What software do y'all use and would you mind providing a brief explanation of how you use it? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

I used to try with a few free programs but gave up for the reasons you mentioned. I just used audacity and worked around with some things. You can find the Hz of a sample by going to "Analyze" -> "Plot Spectrum" then Algorithm: SpectrumSize: 2048(for me) Function: Rectangular Window Axis: Log frequency https://soundcloud.com/longtrenton1242/moonshine-bandits-for-the-outlawz-feat-colt-fordbass-enhanced-v229-48hz & unfinished forever!https://soundcloud.com/longtrenton1242/eric-paslay-song-about-a-girl-slowed50-30-finish-upon-request May not help but you got a free bump if not.
