Charger
Time to load up these puppies Pretty heavy by yourself, but I manage haha First potato in Second potato in Third potato in Last one in, also wired up the Crescendo something.something.800 (Don't know the model?) for the front speakers. Great little amp, running the doors fully active, no external crossover, using the crossovers on the amp and worked very well. Everything is easy and simple to work on. Just the way I like it. Labeled everything like usual. I like to know what wires go where and do what, so much better than messy junk. Especially helpful seeing as their is 8 pairs of speaker cables coming from the amp (Each speaker has its own run) This amp will most likely get tucked out the way in the void space under the wall once I'm happy with the settings. Being class D it hasn't even gotten hot, but obviously it does fall over in the grunt dept being only 800wrms to the front stage. It's still fairly good sounding though, the fronts are loud and clean and the midbass actually moves air when the crossovers are wound down far enough. Took her out for a bit of a drive, lots of good fun and even got a few demos in. Fronts are loud now so (in my eyes) the bass isn't that loud and I got a little silly with the volume knob, wanting more. The result of my silly behavior And a bit of this Any questions Previous 150+ daily rides: Volvo 240 wagon 2 x DD Audio 9915s walled, Isuzu Trooper 6 x DD Audio 3515s walled clamshell, Lexus LX470 2 x Kicked Solo X 18s, Lexus LS400 4 x American Bass HD18 walled SMD - System of The Month August 2008 My Youtube Videos

RossGo
Awesome write up about your recone strategy. I love pictures, and you always provide plenty. I'm surprised you unwound a coil already. How silly did you get? Haha Yes I have a lot of stereo weight. Charger
Both doors open, sunroof open, full tilt, subs were unloading pretty good Haha I get a bit keen on the volume sometimes, it's never loud enough especially with good fronts too. It's just an unwound coil, no biggie, that's why I have spares, all fixed already Will just have to be sensible with the volume..... Polar-bass
Incredible! I'm no expert, but it looks like a sweet job on those recones. Did you post anything describing the difference with these PSIs? How do they sound, Power handling etc? Car looks absolutely killing man!
Charger
Thanks mate. The PSI do sound pretty good, hard to tell if any louder but I doubt it, because it's the same motor and power pretty much. It may be just my ears but they sounded a little deeper and cleaner, but only at low volume. The PSI are supposed to be a lot more durable though. The cones, spiders and coil materials certainly look tougher. They were definitely a lot more fun to pull apart than the old recones, the glues were insane haha Here are some random pics from recently Chillin in my garage Recone going together to fix my blown PSI haha Wiring up the fronts (power cable) Thought I'd try skyhi speaker cables this time, four runs into each door Mike Previous 150+ daily rides: Volvo 240 wagon 2 x DD Audio 9915s walled, Isuzu Trooper 6 x DD Audio 3515s walled clamshell, Lexus LX470 2 x Kicked Solo X 18s, Lexus LS400 4 x American Bass HD18 walled SMD - System of The Month August 2008 My Youtube Videos
