MrSkippyJ
a pair of 6.5s and tweets should do you just fine. I don't think marine speakers would be your best choice though. Techno_Allah
The crescendo cz components are awesome for the price, but the crossovers leave something to be desired I'll keep them in mind, thanks for the recommendation! I read up a bit on crossovers and the like and since I'm not an audiophile with an ear for what's good or bad, I might not notice if I get 'em....doesn't mean I should buy 'em just cuz, but I'll definitely have another brand to shop around with when building my setup. Cheers!

I googled Marine speakers and got some that looked like those Kicker speakers I posted just a wee bit ago? Do you mean those? Why wouldn't you think 'em the best choice? truthsayer
If your going to get kicker mids, go with the KS series. They get loud and sound pretty good. truthsayer
MrSkippyJ
just marine speakers in general. There is usually a compromise in sound quality with marine speakers so they can withstand the elements. It's not always true but there is no need to buy marine speakers for a car. They also usually cost a little more. Thanks for the recommendation, mate. I'll look for that series when browsing Kicker products. Cheers! just marine speakers in general. Hell, if you've picture or video of your son's car I'd really like to see that as well...if it ain't a problem finding and posting that is. I should have pics of that car posted by now but he doesn't leave it parked long enough for me to work on it or take pics/vids of it. I have pics of Dylan's truck on SMD, but not Devin's Impalla. It's a 2000 Chevy Impalla with the 6.5" drivers in the doors (stock locations) and the tweets up high on the sail pannels. All on a Kicker Amplifier that I won with the component set in SOTM. I will tell you that he has no problems pushing that system to it's limits. Guess he takes that after his dad ...
