808faka Posted July 22, 2014 Report Posted July 22, 2014 sup everyone i need some help i got a triple mechman 350 setup and check the first response for a pic of how its currently setup. problem is i have belt squeal from lack of contact on my alt pulleys but i seen a few people route their triple setups like this and figured its better because of more wrap on the pulleys. http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp91/hunters21w/3B1D653B-8D93-47C0-8617-BAB1B831A37E-15507-000002C6A3A382F9_zpsd8ea326e.jpg i tried re routing my belt and it wasn't long enough. so i looked around and found out which belt that guy used exactly and ordered it. gates k061140HD and tried to route it....cant seem to get it on. i tried multiple times with a friend of mine and it seems like its super close to getting on, but just wont and don't want to try more as it might damage the belt. anybody got any suggestions? i have the same exact setup like the picture in the second link. same alts, same dc bracket i just cant get this fucking shitty belt on. i'm all ears to suggestions. i was going to message that guy but it says he hasn't been online since last year. thanks in advance for any tips.

slamingsuburban Posted July 22, 2014 Report Posted July 22, 2014 i had to use a pry bar and even thin it was very hard you need to almost srech the belt a bit with the pry bar to get it to go on its not easy thats for shure

Im sure my hernia number 2 was from this action. Thank god i only need to do it once a 8 month span ........ Ive broken blood vessles in my arm, and saw stars after getting it a 3rd the way on.... once its on 2 ribs, i start the truck, and it SLIPs on. Then, i crank everything down..... man my head hurts thinking about it.... meh... it easy... when you say you loosen up everything what do you mean exactly? because i even pulled one of the alternator bolts out to see if i could just slip it on and then pull on the alt and then slide the bolt back in but it still wouldn't slide on. also i was trying to slip it on to the idler pulley. you said you slipped yours onto the first few ribs of the alt pulley then started it? also i messaged you a few days ago with a fusing question did you have a chance to look at it yet? thanks
808faka Posted July 22, 2014 Author Report Posted July 22, 2014 anybody? pretty frustrated considering i had to go through a third party just to get the belt to me because of stupid companies that dont ship to hawaii. pretty sure this thing can fit but i just need a different approach maybe.
