R.j. Stanford
Hi all, I have a 2001 jeep wrangler with a soundstream rub2500.1 with 2 15inch punch hx2's and about a month ago, what I think is an amplifier problem began. Randomly the volume of my subwoofers would increase dramatically, I set my gains with a DD-1 and I'm not sure why it does these random JUMPS. It's like someone just spins the gain to the incorrect place just out of the blue, I've checked every wire and connection and can't find anything loose, only place I haven't looked is behind my radio, I would like to not have to take it out if at all possible. Wondering if anyone else has had similar problems like this, I have two SA-15's on the way and would like to not damage them much and stopping these jumps will help. R.j. Stanford
I have, well I can't quite remember which one it is but I have the appropriate xs power drop in replacement battery. Maybe the 3200? Somewhere along those lines, and I sit about 13.8 at idle and never drop under I would say, 12.8 if I'm literally full tilt at a stop sign. R.j. Stanford
I have the remote installed yes, but I normally keep it at full tilt and turn it down when I want less volume. The volume jump I have is so dramatic when it happens I have to turn the nob from full tilt to about 1/5 for it to be at the same volume. If that makes sense. Skater229
And that sounds like that might be it... I would turn it slowly to see if you can 'make' the issue happen... 2010 Chevy HHR Panel (Work in progress) Pioneer AVHX-5800BHS McLaren MLM880's and MLT2's 2ea per door on a DC 175.4 Two DC Audio M4 Level 5 15's On A DC5K Alt CES 200/270+ 4ea Banks of Maxwell 2.7v 3000f caps for a total of 2000f 1ea XS 3100 and 2ea NSB FT170 Batts for 450+ah Not a HUGE build but here it is...
